Can't register my placeshifter license...

Because Start -> All Programs -> SageTV is no longer in the windows menu (yes, I am doing this on the server machine, not on the client).

So I've lost my shortcut to "Register SageTV Media Extender License".

Shouldn't be a biggie, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get either that shortcut back, or, run a executable in the SageTV directory to get this back?

Just run the installer again in Repair mode and it should re-create those shortcuts.

Or if you have a backup of your system you should be able to restore them from there. (And if you don't have a backup, start making them, and consider yourself lucky you learned that lesson this cheaply.)

Thanks - that worked. I basically gave up earlier today and tried that (didn't want to do it, was worried after all the changes I'd made to Sage that I'd lose something - however, it worked fine).

I do backup the system carefully including the Sage directories, but I do not image the whole drive (OS etc); which means I had no way of getting the shortcuts back.

Only because I was burned previously, so now I have good backup principles
