SageTV onto new computer - ? keep channel configuration

I'm moving my SageTV install from my trusty old HTPC (Athlon XP) to my slightly more spanking new HTPC (Dualcore2). Looking real forward to the speed benefits.

I've reviewed how to move it to the new computer and retain all recordings. I was wondering if there's a tutorial written on how to keep the same channel lineup?

I have a HDHR which took forever to config. Also an analog to digital encoder hooked up to my Comcast. I will be moving both to the new computer, so essentially it will have the same video sources. Would love love love to not have to reconfigure the channels if there were some way?

IIRC all that info is in the wiz.bin (the sage db)... so the same tutorial you follow to keep the recordings will also keep the channel lineup.... Of course make sure you made an image of the OS on the old computer before you decommission it so you can go grab any files you may want/need on your new setup.

Actually most of it is in the sage.properties file.

Wiz.bin stores the actual guide data, but the properties file keeps track of the provider IDs and which tuners are associated with which lineups, which channels are disabled, etc.

When moving to a new PC, it is best to let Sage create a new properties file though... It's a good idea just to add the tuners in from scratch and just go through the setup wizard again to make sure everything gets configured correctly.

If you don't take the time to go through the setup, you are likely to have problems - especially if you have a more complicated system with multiple tuners, IR Blasters, etc. (eg: you may find that the card that was "tuner 1" on the old system shows up as "tuner 2" on the new system and now the IR blasters are assigned to the wrong set top box).
