Changing channels on QIP 7100
Just got FIOS TV installed. Have a Motorola qip 7100 STB. Have USB Uirt. Cant seem to make usb uirt to learn ir codes in Sage TV.
I was on Dish Network and was able to get a IR file that worked for the STB for Dish Network. But now on FIOS i need a ir file that will work to control channel changes on the Motorola STB. . I saw something posted about useing a firewire cable to change channels but iam clueless about how this is done. I tried reading some of what i found and was lost rather quickly. My current PC doesnt even have a firewire port. Its a windows XP P4 3.0 . So if its possable to use a firewire cable how difficult is it to do. Most of this stuff goes right over my head so keep it simple if possable. Thanks.
