HVR-2250, WHS and 4GB ram
Hello,
Is there any shot of this working? I hope so but if not I guess I would have to disable PAE. My question is what is the best way to go about this. My plan is as follows: Remove my PVR-500's from the sources in SageTV Uninstall the drivers for the PVR-500 using their tool Physically remove the PVR-500's Physically install the 4GB of RAM Boot up to make sure everything is as expected Physically install the HVR-2250's Boot up and install using their drivers Hopefully add the HVR-2250's to sources under SageTV and be able to see TV Do those steps seem to be correct way of trying it? Thanks, Chuck

That should work for you. The HVR-2250 is known to work on 4 or more GB of RAM and also on 32 bit or 64 bit Vista/Windows 7. But the drivers you install on WHS should be their XP drivers. (Because they don't have WIndows 2003 server drivers.) ALso make sure you have the latest updates for WHS and PowerPack 3.

I'm not sure what version of drivers I have but I guess they know from my OS what to use. At least I hope. I think I have all the updates for WHS but I will double check before I start this process. From what I can tell, the drives that came on the CD are from 2008 but the drivers from the website are from 2009. I guess I should install the ones from the website first, or should I install the ones from the CD first and then update to the ones from the website? Thanks, Chuck
