Channel Description in Program Guide

Hi all, I started using SageTV in Jan. 2010. SageTV version 6.6.2.218, running under WHS. I'm using Bell TV, captured via svideo through a PVR-150. Is there any way to make the program guide display the channel description, rather than the channel name? I searched the forums but couldn't find an answer. An example may be easiest to explain.

In the channel setup, channel 244 is
Station CICT, ID: 15976
Desc: CICT (Global - Calgary)

In the program guide, 244 is listed as simply "CICT". "CICT" means nothing to me, but "Global - Calgary" does. This would make it look the same as the guide from Bell TV.

Thanks, Ron

One possible solution would be to use Channel Logos. I find this much more useful than any naming.

Thanks for the tip. I really like this better. However the reason I didn't think to use the logo originally is none of the logos available in the downloads section contain the city.

Are the logos you have, available for download?

Thanks, Ron

I'm going to try this when i get home... It's for WMC, but I believe it saves the logos in a common location. One could simply move them over to sage when done.

That logo I posted (as well as pretty much any other logo you could possibly need) is available for download at http://www.lyngsat-logo.com/
