HD200 No audio from server, OK online

I am new to SageTV and have been working on this for a couple of days and done a lot of searching and can not find an answer. My setup is as follows:

-Windows 7 server with Dlink dir-655 going to a Dlink DAP-1522 bridge. Running SageTV 6.6 downloaded a couple of days ago.

-No TV card installed in PC, just plan to stream DVD's to TV.

-HDMI connection to TV and SPDIF to a Denon receiver. HD200 is set to digital bitstream for audio.

-When installed I updated firmware as advised to 20090903 0, when I check for updates it says this is current.

The problem is the audio when trying to play DVD files from the server. They are still just straight DVD files, no compression has been done. I get a beautiful picture, but no audio. I am able to play online content just fine from the HD200 and audio sounds great. I can play the DVD files on the PC in WMP and they work perfect. I am assuming it has something to do with a decoder for the audio but need some help with troubleshooting.

Thanks,
Eric

Does the Denon have HDMI in/out? If so did you try connecting the HD200 to the Denon?

I also am new to the HD200 and while it has great promise I too am having various issues.

Lots to learn it seems.

Thanks for suggestion. No, no HDMI connections on the receiver. Will continue to try different things.

When you access the file information with the HD200 what does it report?

For example I ripped a disc where the first audio stream was in DTS format. That was passed right to my TV set which doesn't understand DTS format, thus silence.

There were other audio tracks in AC3 format which the TV did understand (and thus there was sound) but they were in French and Spanish which didn't help all that much.

Forgot to ask for the model number of the Denon unit.

That is part of the strange part. The HD200 shows that it knows it AC-3 5.1 audio, but nothing plays.

Receiver is a Denon AVR-3802. The strange part is that if I play online HD videos it works perfect. So I know the HD200 is putting out a signal on the SPDIF cable.

Just upgraded to Beta version "20100208 0" on HD200 and all is well now. Audio works, YouTube works.

The last post in here talks about how to upgrade to a Beta version of code:

Interestingly enough. Youtube works in standalone mode. When connected to the server I still get the file can't be found message. Always something!
