HVR-2250 Installation questions

Hello,
I just received my HVR-2250's today and was checking them out and I have issues/concerns about how to install it. I have a Gigabyte EP43-UD3L motherboard that has two PCI-e x 1 slots above the PCI-e x 16 slot and two PCI-e x 1 below. The issue that I am having is the length of the HVR-2250 card extending over two of the RAM slots if I use the two above the PCI-e x 16 slot and if I would use the two below that slot it would extend over the ICH10 chip/heat sink. If I don't use the two memory slots then they would work in that configuration fine but the Gigabyte says that "when enabling Dual Channel mode with two or four memory modules, it is recommended that memory of the same capacity, brand, speed, and chips be used and installed in the same colored DDR3 sockets for optimum performance." If I install the card over two of the four RAM slots, it will not be the same color like they say. I'm assuming it would still work but just not as good as it could be. What are your thoughts about installing the cards in this area?
The other alternative is to install them below the PCI-e x 16 slot and be over the ICH10 chip/heat sink. Do you think that the heat coming off of this would cause any issues to the card or the chip?
I hope you can visualize what I am talking about to give me your suggestions if not, you can go to the following link to see my motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ImageG...%20Motherboard
All suggestions/opinions are appreciated.

Thanks,
Chuck

Put it in the 16x slot! Nope, the heat is a concern, but you should be OK, unless you have really bad air flow.

Thanks for the reply but I forgot to mention that I am using the 16x slot for my video card. So my only options are the two above it or the two below it which both have concerns.

Thanks,
Chuck

I wouldn't worry too much about the heat, it would take a lot to cook the card

Thanks for the info. I will likely put them below my video card and hope the heat doesn't bother the board or the chip.

Thanks,
Chuck
