Unusual behaviour when switching to Live Tv

I could swear that this is not how SageTv was previously handling the switch from say watching a recorded show to watching live tv, but this is what it seems to be doing now:

- A switch from a recorded show to Live Tv triggers a channel change. I think that before it was just switching to whatever was showing on Live Tv without the channel change.

- The channel change is to the channel that the recording was made on. For example, watching live tv on channel 122 and switching to watch a previous recording on 342, causes a channel change to 342 when switching back to Live tv.

- It seems that if Live Tv is actually recording a show then the behavior changes in that a switch from recorded tv to live tv just causes it to go back to the beginning of the show being recorded. This is not a big thing and although I have not tested it I guess it started at the beginning because I was sitting in the recorded shows screen when the show started recording.

Has something changed in my Sage TV? The only unusual thing going on is that I had set two tuners and unplugged one because I was having all sorts of channel tuning issues with Sage Tv and for the time being I prefer to at least be able to record shows: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46400.

I assume you are talking about pressing the "Live TV" button on an extender remote, when you say "live TV"? You know that there is no "real" live TV on Sage... everything it being recorded.

If you have nothing being recorded at the time, pressing "live TV" appears to switch you to the most-recently-used tuner channel - i.e., what ever channel was tuned when you most recently recorded something. If something is recording at the time, you will jump to that program, as you said. If two things are recording, I don't know how Sage chooses which one to switch you to.

Regardless, this should probably be posted in the "Sage TV Software" forum rather than "customizations", since it's not really about a customization. You'll likely get better response over there.

Sorry I should have been more specific.

This is directly on the SageTv server not an extender.

Thanks, I thought about that and perhaps it should have been customizations->SageMC as I am using SageMC. The reason why I did not post it in the main software forum is because the one or two times I had done so someone has come back and said to post it under SageMC, simply because I am using it.

I am aware that some functions have nothing to do with SageMC changes but I prefer to stay away from other people's toes, so I post under SageMC mostly, although some of that logic still evades me.
