What version of Sage are running? You can remap and rename your channels now for awhile. Consult the latest Sage TV manual for how it is done.

Hi Gerry
I would be glad if you could point me to the location in the manual about renaming channel name. I know about remap station → set the channel's station name those names are useless . Info: I get EPG data from my cable provider (YouSee Denmark) it works fine except channel names my SageTV ver. 6.6.2.218 Aage |

Hmmm.. so are you just trying to change the displayed channel name in the guide? The EPG data is tied to ChannelID, not Name, so you MAY be able to 'create a new channel' with the name you want, and use the ChannelID that is currently being used. In the end, you can always swtich back to XML if you still have a decent source. from what I hear, the EPG data in the broadcast is usually a big questionable anyways.

yes i just trying to change the display channel name in the guide and EPG data from my provider is fine.
what is the .FRQ-file for. I tried to edit the names in the file and then do remap station → set the channel's station name but noting happens I'd wil try to create a new channel as you recommend |
