Cancel Import Scan
Is there a way to cancel an import scan? I've tried restarting the service and rebooting.
Thanks |

Every time you reboot or restart the service an Import scan starts. What you need to do is remove the directories you do not want scanned from Sage.

I started a complete scan from setup.
now it is the scan that never ends... (it just goes on, and on..) |

You've probably got a media file it's getting hung up on, check the logs to see which one. Sage might want a copy for debugging.

I had this happen at one point as well... it turned out to be a corrupt media file. It seems that if sage crashes during a scan, then it just starts it again on restart (that was my observation). After I removed the corrupt file, it them completed normally.

Can't seem to get rid of mine
I placed all the photos from my last vacation in my import directory under a temp directory. After sorting and culling the photos, I deleted the temp directory with the discarded pictures in it. No matter how many times I scan import directories, the temp directory keeps showing up in Sage (both in SageMC and in the default SVT). It show's Images names but the thumbnail is blank and there are no images. The directory has been deleted from the drive. How do I get rid of this directory. Using Windows Vista. See current Sage info in the attached file.

Try putting the folder back empty. Might be a bug in Sage's "don't remove stuff on the network in case it's just a network glitch" logic.

I put the folder back empty, and did another scan. The folder still shows 1652 pictures but the folder is empty. It's as if there is a directory or index of the pictures and it is not being updated by the scans. Can't delete the folder, but can delete the ghost pictures one at a time.
