Strange issue Sagetv ffdshow directshow filters - switching between Dolby and PCM

I'm seeing a strange issues with AVI files and sagetv. I'm using directshow filters with FFDshow and when I play some AVI files my reciever correctly shows it as dolby 3/2 1. But if I fast forward or reverse it changes to PCM 48. This has be perplexed so far. Anyone else seen this happen?
