HD200 with the Encore USB Wireless

How do I set up my password and such? I see nothing in the HD200 networking options for actually configuring it- other than a dhcp/static setting.

IMO, It's not offensive. I'm going through the same thing as I just hooked up my hd200 today, and it helps to see solutions as well as the questions. I thought that the purpose behind community supported forums are for all of us to peruse and chances are that you arent the only one that is going <gone or going to eventually> go through this. Any info is helpful, and I know that I'd greatly appreciate it if you could post your solutions. Thanks in advance!

If you are not seeing any wireless options in the firmware, it is probably because you are using the released firmware instead of the Beta firmware. See http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthr...3&postcount=35 for information about how to get the lastest Beta firmware.

Carlgar is absolutely right, after posting I upgraded the firmware and had the wireless options. Still not working but this is a router issue that I wont hijack the thread with, I'm sure it will be simple enough to figure out. Thanks for kicking in!

I find it ridiculous that they ship these things out without the firmware updated to a point that allows for the wireless option that they are selling. I mean... I bought the wireless because my TV is not in the same room as my internet connection. But, I eventually was able to work through it. But, that said, I have been using SageTV for over 5 years and I love it.

HD200 with Encore USB

I have been using the Encore USB connected to my HD200 for some months with no problems. My home had a brief power outage in the night and now the Encore will no longer connect to the network. Have done a power reboot, tried the Encore in both USB ports, tested the Encore on my laptop and it worked perfectly with the network. Has anyone else ran into this situation where the HD200 stops linking with a network. I have tried renewing the wireless network connection but no luck. It doesn't display any available network names, as it did initially.

Try it in your PC. If it doesn't work there, it's probably fried.
