SageTV, WHS, HTPC setup
Hi All,
I hope you can help me. I'm thinking of retiring my current desktop and using it as a Windows Home Server. I was surprised that I cannot use WHS as a TV Server but can Sage TV do this on WHS? I'm hoping to just have the one PC left on 24x7 which will be the WHS, and hopefully this will also be able to record and stream live TV to my existing HTPC (which will be running windows 7). Is this what Sage TV can achieve for me? Also, would I be able to switch live TV channels on the WHS (w/sage) from the HTPC? Many thanks, ws. |

That's pretty close to what I'm doing now. The exception is that I'm using HD Extenders, but it will also work with an HTPC.

![]() Well, that is great. Pretty unfortunate that WHS doesn't do that out of the box but it looks like Sage will be getting a license fee from me. Many Thanks, ws. |
