can guide go directly to a show?

I'm in the trial. I've searched the setup options, the help, and this forum without luck.

When I bring up the guide and see a show that is now playing, I click on it, but I get a dialog in which one option is to watch it. Isn't there a way to just go directly to the show instead of going through the dialog box first?

It's only two clicks with the remote, but I use the mouse a lot, which means I have to move it to change the button focus, and it's a pain.

Press Play instead of Enter/Select.

Hmm. All that does is get me the guide with a small video window of the selected channel in the upper right corner. It doesn't actually "change the channel" like a TV. Do I need to have something set somewhere?

You have to hit play again. So, it is still 2 key presses. I thought you might encounter that when I saw stanger89's post.

That only happens if you have have video set to play in the preview window on menus. If you don't need video on menus, then simply disable video playback on menus -- use the Options command to get to the Video Menu Options.

BTW: in case you don't know tis, there is a PDF manual installed with SageTV. The Program Guide menu is covered starting on p. 47, covering the various options, command shortcuts, etc.
