Manually Adding a show using guide data..

Is there a way to reconnect a recording to a show?

The info for some of the shows is still in the guide data so I'd like to try this before I lose the guide data..

I haven't done this, but I believe it can be done using nielm's webserver. It's got an XML import feature which would let you import a video as a recorded show.

Again, I don't know for sure, but it may get you started.

But where does one get the XML with the show details in the right format?

The last part of this FAQ talks about how to use the webserver to find the Airing ID you can try adding to the filename.

If you install the SageRecordings XML generator before you have an issue, you may be able to use the xml file to reconnect the show.

I think this property tells SageTV not to clear out old EPG data:

wizard/disable_maintenance=true

The database will grow larger pretty quickly using that, so I wouldn't keep it at true for too long. It sounds like your currnet database has already been pruned, but if you have a wiz.bin backup from a couple days ago, that might work. If you then end up with EPG data missing for the last or next couple days, there is a FAQ entry for EPG issues that says what property to reset because of a wiz.bin & sage.properties mismatch.

That worked pretty well... I lost a couple of *watched* status on shows we watched.. but that's no biggie..

It would be nice to be able to customize how long it keeps guide data for..

This isn't the first time that I wish I could have gone back more than 2 days in the schedule...
