Changing the format of the recorded file name

Hello! I'm new to the forum and have just had Sage TV for about a month, and so far I'm totally loving it! One question I have - I would like to be able to change the format of the recording name, specifically I'd like to tack on the date to the end of it. Is there a way to change to that?

Nope, Sage uses the file naming for internal book keeping so the only options you have are the just the show name or the show name + episode name.

conveniently, the file IS dated for when it was recorded.. so you at least HAVE that information. Why were you wanting the date in the name? I ask because there is probably another way to do whatever you are trying to do.

I have a WDTV that I transfer my recordings to - on there it's not so easy to see the date of the file, but you see the file name. That was the main reason I was wondering if you could do that :-)
