Aspect Ratio: Changes W/Product?

Most DVDs, no problem: Aspect ratio "Source" renders a-ok.

But with this one DVD, "Source" is too wide on the HD200's and none of the other canned aspect ratios work either. "Source" comes up with the expect bar effect top/bottom to give a laterally stretched out pic, but the bars are about 25-35% higher than usual and people's faces look too wide.

OTOH, when I watch the same DVD on my little laptop via Client, "Source" is right on the money. Laptop's screen is 1024 x 600. TVs connected to HD200s are 4:3.

I'm guessing that if I fool with the circle adjustment (squeeze it a little) long enough I could make this particular DVD render better - but then I'd expect all other DVDs to render incorrectly.

I used DvdShrink 3,2 to rip it, but was unable to locate any aspect ratio choices and, besides, it *did* look ok on the laptop.

Why just this DVD and not others?

Anybody have some thoughts?
