Issue with waking up a "sleeping" hard drive
I configured my HD200 with a video library that lives on a DLink DNS-321 NAS and I have been running into a problem where the HD200 doesn't seem to be able to wake up the hard drive after the DNS-321 has gone into sleep mode. When I go into the video menu, I can see the access light on the NAS blinking but the HD light does not start churning as it should when the HD200 loads DVD art. The HD200 is unable to play the ripped DVDs when it gets into this state. If I cycle the NAS or manually wake up the drive with my laptop the HD200 works great.
Anyone have similar issues? If so, are there any workarounds or fixes (other than reconfiguring my NAS to leave the drives spinning 24/7)? Thanks!
