what is current state of things?

It's been years since I have been deeply involved in SageTV but have managed to stay 'somewhat' up-to-date. What's the latest scoop?

I am currently running Sage TV v6.4.8.184, Java v1.6.0_07, SageMC STV Version 6.3.7a-fix, SageMC JAR Version 6.3.7a, Current STV File: SageMC_169-2.xml according to the details on the screen.

One of the things I noticed "back in the days" of releasing the then popular, TIVO Unleashed, was that (despite all the effort made by me and others to extract the very best of the TV Computer convergence), much of the very best television can be found on NBC, CBS, ABC, and FOX network channels.

Today, my wife an I subscribe to just that for $16 per month though Time Warner. We do this because it's enough, and to eliminate the need for a cable box.

Well times are changing, and my wife finds herself often watching TV on her laptop via various websites. I don't know how she does it . It wouldn't be my choice but none-the-less, she finds it entertaining to do it that way.

Is there now a way to use SageTV to 'schedule' content to be downloaded from the web much like my regular cable shows are recorded today?
