HD200 Loosing Signal

Maybe some can help me, I have a HD200 actually two of them. I recently wired my place with Cat 5 cable, ran a tester on each one all the pairs look good. In my old place I never had a problem with either hD200. Now what happens is after about an hour the HD200 (if not in use) goes to 'no signal' on my Vizio tv screen. It used to go to the screen saver showing photos, it starts but locks up during it. If I unplug the HD200 and plug it back in it comes up fine and works, I can watch TV etc. But again if I leave it alone it will get a 'No signal' message.

I did have a bunch of switches the cabling was running through I changed it. So now the sage server (25' cat 5) to the router (wirless linksys), then the one HD200 to port 2 and my third tv which is timing out in port 3 (runs about 15' of cat 5). Then port 4 I go to a switch for the kids pcs, printer etc. But basically all of sage is in the one router now. Its an older Linksys but always worked fine. Should I upgrade? Would it be better??

The runs (cable length) are longer would that cause this time out and work fine when watching on it? I also based on another response went back to microcode 20090505 this made the box (hd200) more responsive (was lagging between menus) but still hasn't fixed this 'time out' condition. Can this be a problem back at the server? Any ideas welcomed.

Screen Saver

Ok has that been known to be a problem? Just curious.. Also do you know should I keep my HD200 at 20090505 and try shutting off the photo's or do one thing at a time. Opps one thing I wanted to make sure I was clear, I might not of have been this isnt a screen saver on the server but on the HD200 when it goes into 'sleep' mode. Wanted to make sure we are on the same page. Thanks again!

The photo screensaver thing seems to make things worse. I like it, but have it turned off.

screen saver

I am now using the sage logo one and seems to be better even though it still looses its signal its after about 72 hours not every day. Now I wonder if I go to a new router would that help? Its an older wireless linksys I am using now. I broke out the kids to thier own switch but maybe the gaming is doing it or the router any ideas?

Craps out only once every 3 days? I'd be in hog heaven!

Did you reboot the server also? After a while, this seems to help, too.

After the last firmware update I've noticed my HD200 hanging a few times a day - it was rock solid before.

Just downgraded to 20090505 - will post back in a few days if it helps...

Network Issues

I am still having problems with my Hd200, I have one that will stay connected only if we make sure we hit 'stop' before leaving it for long times, I also changed the screen saver from photos to the logo. This seems to work for like 3 days. I have another that as soon as you done watching TV, press stop wait 20 mins it looses connection.

I notice it looses it a lot when one of the kids is using the PC we have on the network for gaming. Has anyone thought about moving the SAGE server and clients on their own router? I am wondering if the network is being choked by the gamer in the house? Or is does this sound like a Server/network card issue?

Anyone good at networking have any ideas?

Thanks
Andy
