I think I fixed my HD-PVR lockup problem

For about 6 months or so, I've been trying everything under the sun to deal with the HD-PVR lockup problem. I've tried pretty much everything that I read in these forums, to no avail. At best, I could go maybe 2 weeks or so (but more like 1 week), and then I have to power-cycle the HD-PVR and my system because HD-PVR stopped responding.

I was beginning to think it was either a heat problem or a bad/intermittent Cable Signal problem - neither of which can be fixed by what I can tweak.

Well, on a whim, about a month ago I changed the HD-PVR recording quality from "Best-H264" to "Great-H.264", and since then, I have not had a single lockup!

I'm not yet ready to declare a victory yet, but I am cautiously optimistic. I thought perhaps someone else could benefit from this, since I have never heard anyone mention this for fixing the HD-PVR lockup problem. (Yes, it makes no sense to me why this would make a difference - but, there it is.)
