HDPVR not displaying from component in, only from composite?
Had to get a new cable box due to issues with the old one. New one is an sa4250, old was dct6200, both time warner. If I connect the sa4250 directly to the tv, it works fine. if i connect to the composite in on the hdpvr, i can see the output in total media ext. With component, I get nothing. It was working just fine with the old box immediatelyt prior to switching. I have rebooted hdpvr (1.5.6) and server several times, updated tme, no joy. Ideas?

I just had this problem with a SA 4250HDC from Comcast. Trying to set it up with HD PVR and no composite output. Do you by chance have an HDMI cable connecting it to your TV? I had mine hooked up to test that it was working. When I unplugged the HDMI, component worked.

The umpteenth reboot got things started, still can't figure out what changed. SPDIF was connected and everything. Bah, sure would be nice to know what the problems are sometimes so I can avoid them in the future!

I am pretty sure that you cannot be using both HDMI and component at the same time with these cable boxes - SA4250s (8300s).
