HD 200 component to vga on DELL 24" screen turns green !

Hi all,

I have a second HD200 and wanted to connect it to my DELL 24" screen in the bathroom. I only had a RGB VGA cable forseen when I built my home. So now I thought to go from the component out to the VGA in of my DELL.
This gives me the immage, but there is like a green filter over the whole screen.

Anybody an idea what it could be and how to resolve it?

Tnx !!

You need a transcoder to convert from Component (YPbPr) to VGA (RGB).

Your analog vga monitor needs a converter. If your monitor had a DVI connector you could do DVI to component.

VGA to component
An adapter like this goes for $125. For a little more than that you can get a refurbished LCD with DVI or HDMI connection.

Tnx for the replies guys,

However, my DELL screen has even component input (also DVI) but the problem is that my VGA RGB cable is already in the wall and I am unwilling to make again holes in the wall to get a new cable.

But my question is now, could i just go on the screen side put another VGA to component cable and connect this into the component input of my DELL?

So output HD200 component, go to VGA RGB cable, other side of RGB cable go to component, input component in DELL monitor

Yeah, that should be fine. Those cables don't change anything electrically, which is why they don't work for RGB (VGA) to YPbPr (Component).
