Really weird problem: Everything works great - except for one show.
I have got the weirdest problem and I would appreciate any suggestions or help anyone can provide. Here's my setup:
AMD Phenom II x4 940 (quad core 2.8 ghz) 1 stick of 2GB DDR2 memory (5-5-5-15) 1 TB Hard Drive (64k allocation) PNY 9800 GTX+ Graphics Card 512MB DDR3 Hauppauge HVR-1800 MSI K9N2 SLI Platinum Motherboard Water cooled to 32 deg celcius Graphics card cooled to 49 deg celcius Dedicated for Media Center Running Show Analyzer My setup works awesome for everything I do - except for playback on America's got Talent recording over the air HD. All other shows on that channel plays back fine, that show over FIOS plays fine, all my DVD's play fine, all my downloaded files play fine. I don't have any problems with anything except this one show. And this entire season, every HD recording has had problems. This is the only show with issues and it happens every single episode without fail. My recording settings are the same for that show as for all my others. I can turn off Show analyzer, or watch it the next day, shut down all other programs running, nothing helps. Normally I can record 2 shows at once, watch another show, have show analyzer running as well as other programs in the background and my computer doesn't pause, stop, or hiccup at all. But no matter when I watch America's got Talent, playback is too slow, the sound will continue fine, then the video will go into hyperspeed to catch up, sometimes the sound with get choppy. I'm outputting the SPDIF signal from the motherboard to my Sony receiver. I don't have any sound issues with any other file type or show. Has anyone else run into this problem or know of a solution? |

probably an incomparability in their encoding... probably poorly framed packets or something... you might want to look into trying to use VideoReDo's QuickStreamFix on the vids (which should bring them back into conformity) and see if that helps.
