Missing first two minutes of many shows!

I'm looking for some help to correct a problem I am having. I have DishTV and use a HD-PVR to record. Sometime in the last two months or so, I started missing the first two minutes of many shows. When the recording starts, I can see the DishTV channel information (because Sage is set to always change the channel). The DishTV information shows the remaining time left in the show, and it typically shows 28 minutes or 58 minutes. So I am missing the first two minutes.

I recently installed one of those atomic clock sych programs to keep my Sage Server on the correct time. I've also started to pad the start time by two minutes, but that only helps when I am not recording prior to the show. If I record back to back, I'll still miss the first two minutes.

So at this point, I think it is a guide issue. I think the start times for many networks on Dish is actually on the 28th and 58th minute rather than on the hour or halfhour.

Is anyone else seeing this in their set up? Any suggestions as to what I can do?

I used to have this problem on my cable feed. Certain networks were starting their shows earlier/later than the EPG. Instead of padding every favorite, I just adjusted the server time and turned off server time autosync so those shows I was interested in started at the correct time.
I padded the start or end times of the few favorite network shows that started early so they were not cut off.

OK - I've started to pay more attention to the Dishnetwork time that is listed on the initial channel change info screen. The time listed is xx:02 or xx:32 when the recording starts. So that is why I am missing two minutes. But the server time is synched to the atomic clock - I double checked it to be sure and even resynched it.

I honestly would be surprised if DishTV was a full two minutes off on their programming and no one else seems to have this problem. So I wonder where the issue is?

My first thought is the STB time might be wrong, but that would not effect Sage's start time in the least.

Basically I'm grasping at straws here. I also have a HDHR and record QAM stations as well, so if I change the system time to be 2 minutes fast, I could potentially loose the last two minutes of those shows. I currently don't loose any show time with those recordings and my current server time. I guess I would rather loose the first two minutes of a show than the last two, but I would really like to find a solution that works.

Any other suggestions or comments?
