Imported Video causing Sage to Crash
Okay, here's a new one for me. I moved my Sage server from an XP to a Vista platform. Moved all my recording and import drives. Got the properties properly set as well as moving over the wiz.bin file. All my archived recordings seem to play fine.
Here's the problem. I have many imports that are all mpg files, that are essentially Sage recorded programs where I had once lost the program information contained in the Wiz.bin file. Before I moved to the Vista platform they played great on my Sage server or client. Now, there are a few import files that, when played, will cause Sage to crash. There are other imports (same file structure), on the same disk drive, that will not cause Sage to crash. What's even stranger is, that if I try to watch the that file using Placeshifter, it would play just fine. Anyone seen this behaviour before?

I don't know if this is related, but playing first a sage HD recording, stopping, and then playing a ripped DVD causes Sage to crash. Doing everything in reverse causes the same crash.
Don't know if it's related, but thought I'd post here in case it is. - Jeff |

Thanks, Jeff. In my case, I can start up Sage and go right to the imported file, and cause Sage to crash, without playing a Sage recording.

Problem solved --
I figured it out. The Sage MPEG2 Decoder and my Vista 64 bit computer don't like each other. When I changed decoders, to either the Microsoft decoder or the Arcsoft decoder, it no longer crashes.

I think that sage default decoder are cyberlink OEM old decoders.
