Pure video causing an error?

I installed trial version of Nvidia Purevideo decoder and started using it with SageTV. The picture quality was the best I have seen with Sage.

Now when I try to watch TV using Sage, I get an error and I can not watch TV.

Here is the error:

There was playback error in playback. Details:
sage.PlaybackException:ERROR(-4,0x80040217):
There was a problem rendering the video portion
of the content for playback.

I searched these forums, and people seem to say to just change video decoder in Sage settings. Now this works for me, but I really want Purevideo to work because no other decoder I have tried even compares to Purevideo.

Anyone know why it worked before and now I get this error?

Ive already uninstalled both Sage and Purevideo and reinstalled.

I had a very similar thing happening to me. I had to actually uninstall one or more of my other decoders to get it to work. It worked fine till I tried to upgrade to the latest version, then whammo! New version did not work, old version no longer worked.

Good luck... If the PureVideo didn't look as good, or I could get comparable picture quality from something else, I'd dump it since it is so picky about what else is on your system.

Perhaps the trial version of the PureVideo decoders expired? I think they will only work for 30 days. Reinstalling doesn't give you another 30 days. That happened to me, so I ended up buying the cheapest version of the decoders from Nvidia's website.

Thats what I did. I purchased the decoder and it now works. I downloaded the trial like 2 or 3 days ago, so I am not sure what happened.
