ClearQAM w/ ATI 650 PCIe & XP?

Based on various forum searches, it appears that by tweaking the sage.properties file and adding an enable file, several Sage users have had success tuning clearQAM channels with ATI 650 PCI cards in XP. Has anyone had success (via that method) in tuning clearQAM channels with an ATI 650 PCI Express card in XP? I added the ENABLE file and modified the sage.properties file as prescribed, and although my subsequent channel scans deliberated for long periods, they yielded 0 clearQAM channels.

When I attempted my initial channel scan after making the file changes, I was using an XP driver for my ATI card (9-7_xp32-64_t550-600-650_wdm). Since it was unsuccessful, I downloaded the Vista driver for my card. After that, when I attempted the channel scan, it flew through the channels in a few seconds and still yielded 0 clearQAM channels. It also made it impossible for me to view analog channels in Sage, and hindered other media capabilities throughout my system. So I concluded that the Vista card driver wouldn't work in XP.
