Same issue here....

I have the same pausing and shutdown issues as above. Has there been progress on this? It is the most annoying issue ever. Please shed light on the cause of this.

We haven't been able to reproduce the issue. If you have this problem with the latest beta 20090805 please create a wireshark trace so we can analyse it to try to get more information.

Thanks

sorry for the delay but I finally had some time and got you an hd200 log and a wireshark capture while problem was happening. Server was not recording or playing back to any other devices. file I played back was rip of iron man blu-ray that I'd put into an mkv and actually downsampled a little in the pre hd200 days for playback on my 100s. This same file plays back fine with hd200 and 5/5 firmware or with hd100.

Files were sent to george (hd200 log as email attachment and wireshark capture uploaded to ftp server) as he'd asked for the same stuff a while ago when we were also trying to troubleshoot this.

Hope they provide the info you need.

thanks

Have you had a chance to look at the info I sent in?

George asked me to update to the 8/14 release which I did and which made no difference (sent in another log file from extender captured while problem was going on.)

Would really love to help track down and kill this issue. Happy to try almost anything (I'm an IT director for a living and can certainly get involved with the hardware or software or do some swap outs if you want,) though given the fact that rolling back to 05/05 firmware fixes the problem it certainly seems like this shouldn't be a non-sage problem?

Thanks

It seems to me that 20090505 working well logically eliminates both the user's hardware and the HD200 hardware as causes of the problem.

Have you considered the possibility that Sage software/HD200 firmware has evolved to the point where some equipment may have been outdistanced?

What I'm trying to say is that in optimizing the performance of the HD200, it may have moved to a level that exceedes some system's ability to keep up.

Is that possible? I know the bin files have grown quite a bit larger than at the outset.

Post 20090505 firmware seems to have a problem with gigabit switches. If anything, we bought gigabit switches to provide plenty of bandwidth for multiple HD200s and future expansion, not to invite problems NOW with firmware which hangs with standard home/SOHO devices.

Maybe its time for another poll to see how many people are working fine and how many have problems, where we can put in our setups for others to see....
