My HD200 is Dead, Help!
I decided to do a fresh install of SageTV after loading it up with a bunch of plugins I really don't use. So I do everything I'm supposed, load the wiz.bin into my fresh install and fire up the extenders. (I have an HD100 and an HD 200)
It was weird at first, because it would always kick me off my extender when I would try to configure the weather through the main setup. Same thing when I would try to configure the video paths, would have to do a hard restart. So I just blasted through the set-up and remoted in to my WHS and set up everything that way. Everything seemed to be fine until the video would dropTV from my HD-PVR would drop and my Sammy said "mode not supported" I then went to my other TV, and the picture was all garbled and the other TV said the resolution was at something like 1365 x 1288!!! I knew something was up, and after doing a lot of resets, it eventually would not show anything and actually freezes with both the red light and green light solidly on from the start. No signal through the TV, and I can't even shut it off with the remote. Tried HDMI and S-Video. Tried the back button reset. Tried it without the network connection. It was actually strange for both my extenders, though my HD100 seems to be fine now, but my HD200 seems to be shot. I did try to change the resoltuion to display 720 only on my extender thinking that would get rid of some of the HD-PVR lockups I had about once a week. Though now I realize that that's probably needed for the STB only, which I did change as well fro 1080i to 720p. Sorry this is so long. Wanted to give you all as much info as possible. Any ideas????? Thanks! |

Did you try the 'Delete' button reset? That actually resets the configuration of the HD200. The Back button is just for restoring the firmware; it doesn't actually reset the configuration.

I do not know about the delete method. Can someone explain this to me?

My STP-HD200 extender is not working at all. What should I do? You may want to first check the 'clients' subdirectory where SageTV is installed on your PC and try renaming the <mac address of the HD200>.properties & its .autobackup file. - Andy
