Question Newbee to setting up iR Blaster w/Motorola DCT2244?

I installed a Pinnacle MCE PCTV Remote kit yesterday. I am having a heck of a problem to get SageTV to send a single out on the iR Blaster. The iR Receiver works fine. I am not sure how to test the iR Blaster. The iR Blaster connects to the back of the iR Receiver. The iR Receiver connects to the PC via USB.

Yesterday, I installed Digital Cable TV. The STB is Motorola DCT2244 and is in the den with my computer.

Can I use the MCE Remote Kit with Sage or will I need to purchase a differant one?

The SageTV application can use the MCE IR receiver but cannot make use of the blaster. Look at using LM Remote

Purchased the LM Remote software. Confirmed the iR Blaster is working.

I still can't figure out how to have either my WMC or my STB remote to change the channel in Sage. Like wise, I can't figure out how to have Sage change the channel via the iR Blaster. Any pointers for an old man trying to figure all this out on the run?
