Getting No Signal on 6.6

Hi GUys,

Just upgraded to 6.6 and now I get "No Signal" on FTA HD. If I record the show then tune to recording after 30 secs or so - It works fine.

Running Vista x64, 2 x Hauppauge 2200's - S-Video in from Cable TV works fine

Any thoughts very welcome

Just upgraded to v6.6 and I'm getting the same 'No signal' for all tuners (got Cinergy 2400T twin DVB-T card, FireDTV DVB-S2 and Tecnotrend 3200 DVB-S2 cards). I've tried Watch Live TV, TV Guide and Channel Setup preview, none of them show a picture or sound.

I've found I get a short blast of the current channel if I switch back and forth between a couple of channels, just before it switches to the next channel.

Looks like I'll be winding this one back to my previous install of v6.5.19.

I got the exact same thing as you, flicking between channels.

I seem to have fixed it by replacing TSSplitter.ax in the Common directory with the one from the previous version 6-5. All seems OK now.

Cheers

I'll give that a go when I get a chance, I've put 6.5.19 back on for now.

Thanks

Thanks for the tip.

We've got what should be a fix for this now. Please test it out and let us know. Thanks! I'm attaching the updated TSSplitter.ax file that's needed.

Tuning problems with 6.6.1

Ive submitted a bug reprt but just wondered if anyone else has had problems with this version. I went straight from 6.4.8 to 6.6.1 and this caused live TV always say no signal, but it did record the picture when you recorded programs but there was no sound. Ive gone back to 6.4.8 and all works again.

Upgrade tuning problem 6.6.1

Hey there,

I've been running the 6.5.17 beta for a while and decided to do the upgrade to 6.6.1 yesterday. After upgrading I've been seeing a problem where many channels will no longer tune and come up with a no signal message. The unusual thing is that when watching live tv, you can change to a channel, receive no signal and when changing to the next channel you can see a few seconds of vision from the channel you're changing from (the one without a signal) which seems to indicate that it's tuning just fine (I hope that description made sense).

I've tried re-scanning and found that all of the expected channels appear but the problem persists. As it was an upgrade I thought that there may have been some detritus from many previous upgrades causing a problem so I uninstalled, removed sage dir, reinstalled and still had the problem.

The problem/waf has been fixed for the moment by uninstalling, re-copying my backup from before the upgrade and re-installing 6.5.17. It's ticking along very nicely at the moment but I expect that I would like to apply the gold version at some point.

Unfortunately I didn't turn on logging at the time so won't be able to provide any more sensible info until I give it a go again next weekend.

System details;

Tuners: 2x Hauppauge Nova-T 500 PCI (DVB-T)
OS: Windows XP (sp2)
Java Version: 1.6.0_13

Processor: Core2 1.8 GHZ
Memory: 1GB
Mobo: Asrock Dual VSTA
Vid Card: Nvidia 8500 GT

I've tried multiple codecs just in case and this made no difference.

Something odd that I did notice was that after the upgrade there was still a dvb region setting to select from in the tuning section. After doing a comletely fresh install I no-longer had the option of selecting a region. Doing a scan seemed to scan many more frequencies and discovered the same list of channels (with the same problem). Is this now expected behavior?

I'm in Australia so wondering if there may be some issue with dvb tuners that might not have been picked up during beta/rc. Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

Thanks in advance for any ideas you might have.

Mick.

Angry

Exactly the same issue for me - since the upgrade ABC2 no longer tunes despite 98% signal quality etc. I'm using HDHR so this confirms the issue is with Sage s/w. I also get the occasional glimpse of the tuned broadcast during the channel change process.

Totally off topic but I was just wondering if those in the UK are able to get BBC HD and ITV HD working correctly with this updated file and the 6.6 release.

Cheers

Ben
