Dropped to recorded programs when watching channel and recording starts

I'm using SageMC so I'm posting this here. I'm not sure if this is the way things are supposed to happen but it is not the desired behavior. Here's what it is going on:

I'm watching live tv on channel 5 from 9:30pm-10:00pm. At 10:00pm, I have a recording schedule on channel 5. Instead of seemlessly going from the 9-10pm program into the 10pm scheduled recording, I get dropped to the Recorded programs screen and have to manually start the 10pm recording. Is there anyting I can do about this?

I upgraded to the latest beta and am still seeing the same behavior. Is this the way things are intended to operate? I would think that if I was watching live tv and that the next program to air was to be recorded that Sage would not stop playback to begin that recording. Is this something I should contact official support about?

Not unless it happens without any customizations in use.

Since posting I've moved Sage to a new server and I am still seeing this behavior in SageMC but not in the default STV. I did carry over my database so there must be something in there that is causing this to happen. Does anyone know if there's a setting that might cause that to happen?

That doesn't sound right at all. I virtually never watch live tv, though have occasionally seen messages appear when a recording is due asking if it will be okay to change the channel to x at yy.zz pm to record programme foo (hope that made sense). I'm pretty sure that what you're describing is not the intended behavior though couldn't vouch for this not having been broken in recent versions.

I'll try to arrange a test later on and post back my findings.

I know what you're talking about in regards to the popup. This is not the case here though. If I am watching a program that plays from 9pm-10pm on channel 5 and the clock goes to 10pm, I am dropped out of live tv and brought to the last menu before starting live tv. This is because I've got the 10pm news on channel 5 as a favorite. I then have to go manually start the recording of the news to watch it. I tested this with the default stv and it seamlessly goes on to the recorded program rather than stopping playback.

This is a nuisance and results in low WAF
