Request for largest available Fanart pack

Since BMI's automatic fanart download seems to be broken for me, I am having to pre-download the fanart. Until the automatic downloader bugs are worked out, I'm aiming to download the largest known collection in the meantime. Could someone please give me the URL to the biggest known single download of fanart to date? The one I found was from the link below. Maybe someone knows of a bigger, newer one? I need them in the same folder structure and standards (picture background, banners, dimension, pixels, etc) as the ones used in the latest sageTV/sageMC.

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...2&postcount=64

Thanks in advance!

kind of presumptuous to blame "bugs" in a product that is working just fine for many users (and has been for a significant period of time).

Its a reproducible issue not unique to just my setup. I'm not sure how your comment helps in any way answer my question. It's certainly not going to change the way I see it.

I think that's obvious...

While it may be true that there are issues with BMT (for the record the current stable rev has been working perfectly for me for a long, long time), there's no need to be unnecessarily combative.

Remember that BMT is an OSS application and the effort put in by the developer is voluntary and you didn't pay for it; if you have a problem be nice (and patient) about it, or download eclipse and get coding.

As someone who spends a lot of time trying to help others have a better experience w/ their HTPC (both through custom utilities and answering questions) I find your approach distasteful (both here and on the BMT thread).

I don't say that to be rude, just that you have more success if you selected a different approach (even if you don't mean it).

I generally try to help people whenever I can; and, cognizant of keeping threads on topic. I'm just looking for the largest single fanart collection to download in this thread, nothing else.

I dont mean to be rude either, but you should really keep your opinions to yourself; as they aren't helpful to me or anyone else here; they can be very distracting to current issues (whether you like them or not). If you have any further opinions, youre more than welcome to PM me. But please, dont drag everyone else on this thread into it. No harm done..

Search the forum then, there are several links.

Calling out bad behavior publicly is useful - just because you don't see it doesn't mean someone else won't (and hopefully do something about it).

Bottom line the "bugs" in BMT are irrelevant to your stated goal, you should have left out the negativity.

I'm not sure how else to say this without sounding offensive; but honestly, I'm running out of ways to explain so you can understand... what you call, "bad behavior" is still your opinion. Again, as a courtesy to other forum members, please keep your opinions to yourself as it's very distracting to others trying to stay on topic.

Furthermore, telling someone to do a forum search as a way to help is about as helpful as repeatedly announcing your opinions. I was just looking for the best and largest fanart download instead of multiple links. I am hoping someone still might reply back with a helpful link. The best one I could find was the fanart pack #2.

If you really feel the need to cause more noise with yet another post expressing your opinion about this, that's fine.. but, I assure you it wont be to my or anyone else's benefit. Peace and no hard feelings.

FYI

I moved this exchange into its own thread so as not to derail the original thread. Please keep things civil or this thread will be locked.

Yes, in my opinion your comments were unnecessary and unpleasant. We will have to disagree on the place for opinion in a public forum.

All the books I've seen on teaching children to be polite indicate that it's important to repeatedly correct the "asking" behavior before satisfying the underlying request.

This is a fun post, all you really have to do is search the forums and you'll often find what your looking for, its easier than creating your own post and saves alot of hassle.

Here's what I found in under 10 seconds.

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/down...do=file&id=318

1250 fanart images should keep you busy for awhile but note it will depend on what you've named your movies. For example you may have named Back to the Future 3 as Back to the Future III.

Hope that helps.

Edit:

Here's another one:

and another usefull link:

Sorry, but babgvant owns you with his contributions to the HTPC community. He's been helping me for the past 3 years in my quest. Thanks for everything, babgvant!

I have the feeling he didn't tattle, either .

Thanks Jamiben. Does you collection include both the megapack and fanart pack #2? Originally, when I did a few quick searches, I couldnt figure out which package contained other collections already or not; hence, I thought I would ask.

No, its just my own collection of around 500+ movies and quite a few TV shows. I used BMT to grab all these automatically so you'll also see the images file inside the folders. You really need to get that setup, once you do you'll never look back. All I ever do is copy the movie file to the shared folder, wait five mins and heypresto all the images and metadata are available.

Does anyone still have the massive fanart pack download available that they could share? The "Massive Fanart Pack" isnt available for download in the download section anymore:

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/down...do=file&id=318

All I'm interested in are high res fanart (preferably 1080p) for TV/TV movies. So, if someone has an extra large collection of their fanart "movies" folder they would like to share, that would be great. I already downloaded one fanart movie pack, but it wasn't really that big. I wish I still had the stuff I downloaded from jaminben. His links above arent available anymore.

Thanks in advance for any direct links to high-res movie fanarts you can provide!

The next version of BMI will supposedly support automatic TV Movies; which is great for people who have the abilility to record premiere movie channels like SHO, HBO, MAX, etc from TV. Currently, even with manual commandline pointing to the right database, they end up going into the TV folder instead of Movie (which doesnt work until I manually move them to the movie folder).
