For me,updating to the latest beta software and firmware has addressed the OTA reception issues I was facing (knock on wood). There is also a new STV update.

Click here and then follow the additional links in Opus4's signature. There was also a new dll file posted by Qian to address an issue those with HDHR's were experiencing. Click (here).

I, for one, had no idea.

Thanks.

Have you read the HDHR instructions lately? They clearly state this:

HDHR setup for Windows

And, the SageTV instructions on the SiliconDust web site point to the instructions on this forum for the SageTV side of the setup.

Edit: You can subscribe to that thread & get email when I post a reply saying the instructions have been updated. (You'll also get an email when anyone else replies since you last forum visit, but...)

For all the Philly people, Channel 6 got approval from the FCC late last week to boost their broadcast power. I rescanned on friday and now get 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3 at 100% strength.

I'm getting 6 now in Mercer County, NJ.

Update:
Well, at first it seemed like it was coming through, and it was better than previously, but I checked a few more times and it vaccilates between ok, artifacts, and no signal. I'll try going back to my previous plan of leaving one of my ATSC tuners attached to the attic antenna (optimized for everything else but flaky on 6) and the other on rabbit ears (optimized for 6), ok for many other channels, but loses a few that the attic antenna can get.

All I did was to go into Source Setup and then add a new tuner. I picked the tuner card that was applicable (Tuner 1 or Tuner 2) and then selected Composite source. It asked for a channel lineup (which I specified Comcast Digital) and then enabled only 301 (HBO) since I don't have a USB-UIRT and it's included for 12 months at no extra cost.

When I tune in the Grid to 301, it switches to the composite input automatically. It also does this for favorites or intelligent recording. When it tunes another channel on the analog input, it switches itself back.

Very cool indeed.

I still can't get 6.1 (10.1 was fine and I don't really watch 12.1 anyway, so it's not a loss to me)

Hauppauge 1600 tuners...
