Network Encoder and WinXP Firewall

I can't seem to figure out what's wrong. My server in the living room (Vista) can see the two network encoders in the office (XP) but I can't get video. I turned off the firewall on the Vista machine and it didn't work. Turned off the firewall on the XP machine (Vista firewall still on) and everything works. Identical ports are opened on both machines...

Since you said it worked if you disabled the firewall, have you double checked that the correct firewall ports mentioned in Appendix G of the SageTV manual have been opened?

I've opened all the ports that are supposed to be opened. When I check the logs, the entries that coincide with trying to use the network encoder shows my Vista PC trying to access port 137 on my XP machine. Should I just open that port?

Just answered my question, turns out it's part of file and printer sharing. I've enabled it on my XP machine and everything works now.
