A few questions about Phoenix API (and related components)
I'm curious what's required to setup Phoenix API (and related components) to automatically get information for movie clips or movies (based from file name or folder name only). I just want to install the bare minimum that's needed to do this.
I read the the Fan art FAQ's and instruction show to setup BMI, but seems like an awful lot of components just to do something simple (ie, BMI, Metadata Tools 2.0, Evilpenquin's MediaScraper Tools, DVD profiler, etc, etc). Which components do I need for sure? Thanks, Michael

I would go with BMI it will include the latest phoenix api's so it is just one download.
Set up your fanart folders and fetching in the BMI settings (after importing) Restart sage and you should be good to go. Make sure the service/sage is not running when you extract BMI |

Thanks so muc for your help! I have a couple more questions for you or anyone else reading this thread:
1) In the BMI instructions it says to manually add lines to the sageTV properties file to specify BMI as the metadata provider. But, then, it also says that it automatically adds stuff to the properties file via SageMC -> Extras -> Batch Metadata Importer ->Automatic Metadata/Fanart= Enabled. Do I need to do both? 2) You mentioned that I need to add my Fanart folders (plural). I thought the only folder I need to make is a central folder via SageMC -> Main -> Global UI Options-> Display->FanArt Options->Fan Art Central Path=xxxxx. I'm guessing I can just put "E:\SageTV\FanArt" for the path; and, I wont need to create any other folders. Thanks again, Michael Quote:

As PluckyHD noted, bmt includes the latest phoenix build. So you can download and extract it into your sagetv server/cleint area and you are half way there. You'll also need the latest SageMC to take full advantage of the fanart apis. Checkout the Install section from the wiki.

Michael,
#1 - just do one or the other.... #2 - folders is probably a mistake... there is only one central fanart folder (that contains serveral ather folders, such as TV and Movies)
