PC and Dishnetwork related questions.

Hello all,

I am planning to purchase SageTV bundle. There are 2 questions that I can't seem to figure out for sure on my own.

1 - Is this hardware good enough: PIII 800, 512 MB of PC133 RAM, AGP 8x 256MB NVIDIA videocard?

2 - This system will be used as a PVR only with 3 Russian channels from Dishnetwork. Will I have any difficulties configuring SageTV with Dishnetwork for those 3 channels? This question includes configuring programming data.

Hope I didn't make it confusing.

Thank you in advance.

Need satellite info...

Which channels are you going to use (channel #) and which satellite (you can probably get the info from the dish network website)? I've got dish, so hopefully I could see if you're programming info comes across (unless you're using a diff sat.).

The channels are 592,593,594. Thank you very much. I really don't want to go thru bying and having to return the bundle. I appretiate it.

Works like a charm!

Had no trouble changing/tuning the channels through SageTV to 592-594(although I don't subscribe and get the appropriate message from Dish).

So as long as you can get it through Dish (can get the correct Satellite - 48, 121, or 61.5) - you're good to go!

Is this hardware adequate?

Thank you very much for a quick reply and good news.

How about this PC, is it good enough:

PIII 800Mhz, 512 MB of PC133 RAM, AGP 8x 256MB NVIDIA videocard?

Thank you.

Yes, thank you, I saw the min requirements. I just know when Microsoft publishes min reqquirements I need to double if not triple them. Is this also true with Sage software?

Thank you.
