MCE Remote Power Button

Hello,

Please go easy on me I am quite new to SageTV and working out most of my issues, setup for my HTPC.

I had everything up and running pretty well.
Resolved IR issues. Screen sizing issues. Streaming to PS3 with Tversity and
using the MCE remote..(Bah to the stock Haupagge remote w/HD PVR)

However.. I thought I would test out the MCE remote power button as I
assumed it would put sage in sleep mode.

BTW I have disabled MCE and ehtray.exe so no more Windows Media Centre.

Well the power button on the remote shut my computer down, atleast everything died. I tried to restart which seemed to take forever.
I finally got a black screen with a locked up SageTV spinning icon..

I hard reset and was left stuck on the veryifying dmi pool data....
It appears my hard drive is now corrupt...
This is a fairly new install and a testbed for Sage,HD PVR, and Tversity..

So I am back to reformatting again a fresh install of Vista..
Can some lend me some insight on keymapping the MCE remote so this
does not happen again...

Tnks..

The power button on your MCE remote is usually mapped to whatever your power button on the computer does. This at least how XP handles it (I am not using Vista). So you should make sure that part is configured correctly. It should not mess up your hard drive in any case.
