video_encoding_params
For a digital tuner (i.e. HDHR or HVR2250), does the "video_encoding_params" property of the encoding have any effect at all? Or is it ignored?
What about the "default_device_quality" parameter? What are the recommended setting for these 2 parameters? |

I can't speak to the HVR but for the HDHR (and i assume other digital tuners) the encoding_params setting (i assume youre talking about the recording paramaters... high, low, high h264, etc) do not do anything because the stream is already digital. Sage just dumps the raw digital stream to the HDD.

For digital streams, the encoding quality is ignored, no it has no effect.
