Recording to Hard Drive on Network

This probably could go in the software section or the extender section, but I figured it was more a software setting issue. Does anyone know if you can record to a hardrive attached to the HD200. I am able to see the directory in settings, but I don't get the option of specifying the hard drive.

as far as i know the HD200 is playback only, and does not contain "server" version of SageTV that is required for television recording.

I was actually thinking that you could record with the computer, but the file would get saved to a drive connected to the HD 200

Are you able to map a drive from the PC hosting SageTV Server to the HDD connected to the extender?

For this to work, the HD200 would have to run some sort of NAS service like NFS or Samba then you could map it like any other network drive on your Windows or Linux Server. I'm pretty sure it doesn't.

Out of curiosity, why would you want to do this?
