music song lists missing

I am using sagemc 6.8.9b and in "my music" when I open an album with over eight songs the list seems to overlap meaning it can't be read. The more songs the worse it is. If I use the sagetv ui (6.5.13) the song/album lists are fine. I know this has to be something simple but I cannot get it fixed. Any ideas out there.
