Request: Native Philips MCE remote support
I have a request for 2.0 to support the Philips MCE remote natively. I am willing to send in my remote for testing if needed.
Since girder has gone commercialware it's highly unlikely I will purchase girder for MCE functionality within Sage. Doug

I think you can leverage the fact that the MCE receiver generates key strokes. You might be able to map its keystrokes to the SageTV commands by reprogramming Sage's keyboard shortcuts. This page lists the keystrokes that the receiver is supposed to generate:

I 2nd that. The remote layout is great. I was disappointed that I could not program Sage commands from it.

I agree the remote itself is great, and I was happy that they threw in two IR emitters. I think the transceiver is a real dud due to its restricted API.
I use the remote with a USB-UIRT. |

native use of an mce remote sure would be a good selling point if you want to get mce users to easily convert.
