Couple of quick questions about SageMC

Sorry if this information is posted somewhere - I'm just not finding it. New to Sage, and have a couple of questions about SageMC.

Is the HD-200 interface affected by the installation of SageMC? Or does it only work with the client software?

Anything I need to do differently to install on WMC instead of Vista/XP?

Thanks!

You can install the sagemc on the interface of the extender just like the interface of the pc.

Adding on what plucky said... It first has to be installed on server, then you can load it/use it on the hd200 or if you don't want to use it just keep or load the default on the HD200.

I'd like to clarify this further as it was confusing for me the first time. You don't really need to "install" SageMC on the server, especially if it is headless. You only need to extract the SageMC files/folders to your SageTV/SageTV folder on the server. Once it is in the folder, SageMC is available to the server and any extender served by that server. As the previous posters noted, you then "install" it on the extender(s) from the extender's own interface.

Brent/geektonic's tutorial for adding SageMC is really good. Go to geektonic.com and click the SageTV cloud item and you will find Brent's various blog entries including several good tutorials.
