Couple Quick issues with RC2

I have submitted this first one as a bug that we have been seeing since RC1.

When hitting the skip forward button on the remote to advance video it will freeze up the program for several seconds at a time. This happens quite often but not as much as RC1. We are using VMR with the default video codecs.

Second problem that I have noticed before but this is the *first* time it has become an issue i.e. My wife noticed it!

We have both Mad, Mad House and Scare Tactics setup as favorites...Mad, Mad house recorded fine last night, but scare tactics that comes right after it was not recorded. There does not appear to be any conflicts that would have caused a problem. I think I have seen this in the past with other shows that appeared on the same channel right after one another.

Anyone else see these problems?

Thanks,
Marcus

Re missed recording: Maybe it's the problem with the Favorites "specify channel" feature. That feature doesn't work so good. Best to set it it back to "any" til it's debugged.

I don't have the FF hang issue. I would suggest trying s different video decoder. Also, I have Scare Tactics as a favorite but notice since MMH was a 2 hour episode ST was not on. Are you sure it was missed?

I have tried all of the video decoders that I have access to and they all perform poorly. The only one that works good without judder and tears and freezing etc is the non-css decoder. I will try the demo elecard decoder and see if it works without the lockups during skip forward.

As for Scare tactics, did you not get a recording last night as well? The only reason I thought it was supposed to be on is because during mad mad house they had a teaser that said it would be on next and I could have sworn that it was in the guide.

As for the channel preference, I did not even know that we could do that. I have not changed any of the default settings in this regard so I am not sure if its "on" or "off"
Incidently, we lost all of our guide data for no apprent reason this evening. The data just stopped at 8:30pm or so.

Nor for my favorite. Looking back in the guide I can see that MMH was two hours long and repeated right after.

The freezing on skipping ahead still exsists in RC3
