avermedia m791 (gateway L6810) not working

This is not on the list of supported turners, but it's close to ones supported. When I try to configure it in sage tv we get an immediate crash.
One post mentioned setting the pcie bus speed to 100 mhz int he bios, but the gateway doesn't have that option.

Did anybody give you an answer on this? I just bought this system to build a new DVR, but don't know if I'm going to be able to use this card with Sage.
