Problem with sage tv audio rendering

I have the most upto date sage tv. Everything functioned as expected for 1 day I tried playing a mp3 file and received this error

"There was a Playback error in playback. Details:
Sage.PlaybackException:ERROR (-5,0x80040266):
There was a problem rendering the audio portion of the content for playback"

After that no audio for mp3 files ever if they play and the same for most movies.

A fresh install of my backup fixes everything until I try and play one of those files then same thing all over again. I was using a custom interface at first but have scraped that and have received the same error with basic Sage TV

I have attached one of the audio files I'm having trouble with

Here is my system info

Java version 1.6.0_11
Sage TV 6.5

Vista ultimate 64 sp1
Duo E8500 3.16ghz
Asus p5q pro with realtek onboard audio disabled
SB Fatality X-fi Titanium champion sound card (tried removing sound card and using realtek same thing happened)

Ok it looks like any kind of error makes it loose its audio. I had a video error and it did the same thing. Tried a full reboot no change. Unzipped back up all good again. I there a easier way to reset besides replacing program files with back up?

I'm having the same problem on my HTPC. In my case the remedy is replacement of Sage properties with back up file. Wasn't able to spot the difference between working and non working ones though.

I am having the exact same issue and am about to try replacing the install as it is terribly frustrating.

For Vista try to edit the Sage or SageClient.properties file.
located:C:\Users\%user id%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\SageTV\SageTV

Look for videoframe/mp3_audio_decoder_filter=

Enter Below:
videoframe/mp3_audio_decoder_filter=MP3 Decoder DMO

Hope this helps.
