SageTV slow, and pauses a lot

I've been using sage for years now and have not really had any major problems with it. Until now.. For some reason it is reallllllly slow and contantly locks up for minutes at a time.. When I go to delete a watched program or tune a show or even back out of a menu. It comes and goes. Sometimes it does it somtimes it does not.. It is really causing me some heart ache.. If I go to the guide and select a channel to tune. When I hit watch, sometimes it takes close to a minute for sage to start sending the IR codes to the STB. Most of the time when it pauses like that it screws up the channel, and I end up with something else. Not sure what to do, but it does seem to be getting worse..

My setup..
AMD 64 x2 4200+
2gb of ram
230gb HD for OS and some capture
1tb for capture (64bit cluster)
ATI X1900gt
XP sp2
AverMedia A180 (capturing HD OTA)
Hauppauge HDPVR (capturing Dish HD STB sonicview8000)
Sage 6.5.8
SageMC 6.3.8a
Java 1.6.0_11

Please Help I'm getting frustrated

Try increasing you max Java Heap size. You should be able to find instructions after a quick search of the forums.

Also check your system event log and make sure you are not starting to loose a hard drive. I had problems a few weeks ago and like this which turned out to be a hard drive going bad.
