SageTV playback having 1 min pauses
Recently I've been experiencing large playback pauses on my client box. I've monitored the client and there is not system issues there that I can find. However, on the server I've noticed that with each pause there is significant disk activity and I can see that memory is being paged in and out.
I also noticed that the size of the SageTV.exe process changes. It started at 67MB, then went up to 90MB, then back down to 60MB. This all happened during playback, and each time the size changed playback hung. Some of the hangs were long enough that the client thought it disconnected and I had to restart the show. I looked at the log file Sage creates in the SageTV directory and it appears that it is purging partial recordings every 5 minutes. This is when it appears to hang the most often. Is it expected to do this purging every 5 minutes? I've included some of the log file here: Mon 6/27 20:34:29.655 Seeker in AUTOMATIC mode nextRecord=A[3300934,3300883,"The Inside",10709@0629.20:00,60] nextTTA=170730346 Mon 6/27 20:34:29.656 newRecord=null Mon 6/27 20:34:29.657 NOTHING TO RECORD FOR NOW...
