Recording Scheduling

According to this post in the FAQ Sage will schedule up to 3 days in advance.

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...2905#post32905

I will be out of town for several days and I would like to be able to manage all of the content that Sage will be recording prior to leaving. I would be helpful if I could adjust this to schedule 7 days in advance rather than 3.

Does anyone know if there is a setting in the properties file or somewhere else that I can adjust so that Sage will schedule for 7 days instead of 3?

If you have a Placeshifter license, you can connect from out of town to manage things remotely. You might also want to take a look at the Mobile Web Interface, which lets you manage Sage remotely from your PDA or smartphone.

for this idea. Otherwise IR will go nuts and record half the TV shows you get since you weren't there to reign it in.

I use Nielm's Web Server to handle those tasks from my laptop when I'm on a trip. It's quicker and easier than Placeshifter if all you're doing is checking on the schedule or need to add a recording. Somtimes the web interface is more convenint than doing it with the remote from within Sage since you can select all the "don't like" or "watched" items on the list and status them at the same time.
